Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course (Level 3)

The STA Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification aims to give learners the necessary knowledge, and practical competencies required to deal with a range of emergency paediatric first aid situations. The course covers child CPR and a variety of other first aid skills relating to children.
Who is it for?
This course is for anyone who works with children and young people who want to develop their emergency first aid skills. This course is held on a weekday to support teachers who work at week-ends and have difficulty in getting time off to enhance their professional development. The first aid goes a little further than what is required in the rescue tests. Therefore, you will learn more skills and gain more knowledge in this Level 3 course.
Learners must be 16 years of age or above on the first day of the course. It is advisable that learners have a minimum of level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.
During this course you will cover CPR for children, first aid for known child ailments, bandaging dressings, choking, scene surveys, an introduction to AEDs and much more.
Length of Course
This course is a full day course, running from 9.30am – 5.30pm.
