Policy Statement

Active Norfolk are committed to:

  • Ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and leads on sharing best practice.  
  • Promoting safeguarding best practice across sport and physical activity settings in Norfolk in collaboration with our partners. We will seek to ensure that everyone involved in our direct and commissioned activities and programmes regardless of age, ability or disability, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or socio‑economic background feels safe, supported, and able to enjoy sport and physical activity.  
  • Ensuring children, young people and adults have a positive and enjoyable experience of sport and physical activity with Active Norfolk or our partner organisations. 
  • Working with children, young people and adults to ensure they are protected from abuse whilst participating in activities provided by Active Norfolk or our partners.
