E-Learning for Health

E-Learning For Health

Public Health England, Sport England and Health Education England have developed a free physical activity and health e-learning programme. It is also hosted on the e-Learning for Healthcare hub.

The programme is designed to support healthcare professionals in promoting physical activity. This might be through providing extra information or just confirming what they know.

The programme prepares healthcare professionals and other staff to champion the benefits of physical activity with their patients. By recommending physical activity, healthcare staff can help prevent and manage common health conditions.

Below this, you’ll also find other e-learning opportunities available to help you.

The E-Learning Programme

The free programme includes 11 different modules. You can pick and choose which ones you complete. Each session lasts approximately 20-25 mins. You’ll also get a certification of completion for each individual module you complete.

The modules include:

Three short introductory sessions cover the importance of physical activity, the health benefits of physical activity, and also the UK Chief Medical Officers’ national guidelines, plus an assessment.

PRosPer Programme

The Prehabilitation, Rehabilitation and Personalised Care (PRosPer) e-learning programme aims to support healthcare colleagues who work with and also care for people with cancer. The programme includes:

  • Personalised care and support
