Over 600 schoolchildren celebrated the culmination of the Norfolk School Games 2020 Winter Games under blue skies as they raced around the stunning north Norfolk countryside.
The cross-country finals on March 4th saw pupils representing schools from across the county take on routes from 1km to 1.6km through the gorgeous grounds of the Holkham Estate, cheered on by friends and family.
The event followed a highly successful Norfolk Winter School Games Week in February, with activities from dance to boccia giving pupils the chance to enjoy getting active, whatever their ability.
Jo Thompson, School Games Project Officer from Active Norfolk, said: "This year the Games have had something for everyone, with hundreds of children trying something new and building their confidence.
"The cross-country finals in the spring sunshine were a brilliant way to round off a fantastic celebration of physical activity."
The Games are part of the national School Games initiative which aims to inspire more young people to take part in competitive school sport. The Norfolk School Games is organised by Active Norfolk and the eight School Sport Partnerships (SSPs) in the county, and sponsored by the Sportspark.
