Our Work

Our work creating system change At Active Norfolk, we know that increasing physical activity is about more than delivering programmes. Creating lasting change means tackling the barriers that prevent people from being active and ensuring opportunities are safe, accessible and sustainable.

For this reason, we have a dual approach to achieving our mission. This can be split into our programmes and projects (Our Start, Live and Age Active priorities) and our work creating system change.

To create long-term system change, we unite partners around a shared mission to achieve equitable access to physical activity. By hard wiring physical activity into our local systems, priorities and strategies, we will us create the conditions for more people across Norfolk to lead active, healthy and fulfilling lives.

For any project or area of work, we will consider: how it can be best delivered in place to the meet the needs of different communities, how it can be made safer and more inclusive, and how it can be environmentally sustainable. These four pillars are integrated into all areas of our work. The essentials Safer Inclusivity Sustainability Place
