Dragons On the Move: Improving Accessibility across Norfolk

Dragons On the Move is an accessible programme designed to help everyone enjoy the benefits of being active in Norfolk. We want to help people of all ages and abilities to have fun, and try new skills and activities!

Dragons On The Move was formed in partnership with the Disability Real Action Group of Norfolk (DRAGONs). It was originally called ‘On the Move’ but has since been rebranded to reflect the crucial work the Dragons have put into making it a success.

The project works with disability groups, individuals and organisations of all ages who work with us to conduct user led accessibility reviews of venues across Norfolk and provide first hand feedback on how to improve.
We’ve recently done some work with Alive West Norfolk: check out the case study below here. Dragons On The Move Case Study

The Dragons have worked with over 23 providers in Norfolk to conduct user-led accessibility reviews, and advise them on how they could improve their current accessibility offering. By working with us, providers are committing to providing a more accessible venue. This could mean installing new ramps, considering their signage use and more.

Between 2024 and 2025:

Dragons On The Move Reviews

We’ve worked with various venues across the county to perform user-led accessibility reviews. We’ve also performed several reviews on green spaces with our ‘On The Move Outdoors‘ programme to help those with additional requirements get out and about.

Get involved with Dragons On The Move

Our Dragons are always happy to review new facilities. Once reviewed, you’ll be ‘On The Move’ certified on our list of approved providers, and we will help you get setup on an exclusive section of our Every Move activity finder.

This will let people know that your facilities are suitable and accessible.

If you’d like to work with us on reviewing your venue for accessibility, fill in the form below to get in touch. Alternatively, if you’d like to get involved on the review side as a member of the DRAGONs, please contact [email protected]
