Unlock the business benefits of an active workforce

Physical inactivity is costing the UK economy over £100 billion annually due to sickness absence, lost productivity through worklessness, and health related productivity losses (Public Health England, 2016). The impact of physical inactivity could already be costing your business hundreds if not thousands of pounds.

Active Workplaces (previously Fit4Work) is Active Norfolk's workplace physical activity programme and includes:

  • Access and signposting to workplace physical activity and active travel resources
  • Delivery of training to support Workplace Champions
  • Active Norfolk's Workplace Challenge website
  • Active Workplaces Event Calendar
  • The Active Workplaces Business Games (previously Fit4Work Corporate Games)
  • Support from our designated project officer to implement a workplace physical activity and active travel programme in your workplace (Eligibility criteria applies)

“The introduction of sport to Clarion Housing has created a positive atmosphere around the offices and has given the opportunity for building relationships between colleagues as so many people have been getting involved from various departments. I’ve really enjoyed organising and attending sporting events as it has allowed me to socialise with colleagues outside of the working environment, everyone also has a lot of fun and it promotes better health and fitness. This has led to a happier, healthier place to work and are just some of the reasons why we will continue to get people involved in sporting events at Clarion.”
