Safeguarding Adults: Everyone’s Responsibility

Safeguarding adults is essential to ensuring that everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background, can participate in sport and physical activity safely and with dignity. At Active Norfolk, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where adults feel respected, supported, and protected from harm, abuse or neglect. We have clear safeguarding policies in place, provide training for our staff and volunteers, and work closely with safeguarding partners to respond appropriately to concerns.

You can support this effort by staying alert to signs of abuse and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion and knowing how to report concerns. Whether you’re a coach, participant, or supporter, your awareness and actions help make our clubs and communities safer for everyone.

Active Norfolk works in Partnership with the Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board and has a Adult Safeguarding Policy, Guidance and Procedures document.
