What is the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme?

Big Norfolk Holiday Fun is Norfolk’s response to the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme; a scheme funded by the government and delivered by local authorities delivered to school age children in receipt of free school meals.

Active Norfolk work in partnership with Norfolk County Council and local schools and providers across the county to deliver the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme.

The programme offers up a variety of activities to children and young people, to give them a fun, creative and active outlet during the school holidays.

Who can take part in the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme?

Big Norfolk Holiday Fun is for children and young people aged 4-16.

Free spaces on activities can be claimed by children eligible for means-tested free school meals.

Children who do not claim free school meals can still join in with most activities for a small fee.

How can providers get involved?

We’re always looking for local schools, clubs and providers who could get involved with the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme.

By signing up, you could receive funding to offer free places to eligible children throughout the holidays.

We also need schools who can help promote, and even host activities for others.
