Get out and feel better with a free parkrun

Want to get out in the fresh air this weekend, get active, and meet new people? Norfolk's parkruns are a fantastic, free way to get moving and meet new people in your community. They're five-kilometre events that you can run, jog, or walk at parks and open spaces across the county.

You need to register online before your first run, after that you can just turn up - just bring along a printed copy of the barcode you get when you register.

There are an increasing number of junior parkruns, too, with a two-kilometre course for children aged 4 to 14.

Parkruns are organised by volunteers. Helping out is a great way to feel even better - research shows that more people who volunteer at parkrun feel an improved sense of happiness compared to those who just walk or run.
