#ClubsInCrisis competition provides local clubs the chance to win £5000

Made By Sport have launched a #ClubsInCrisis competition, in order to raise awareness of the importance of local sports clubs and organisations, and provide a platform on which they can share their stories and experiences.
Why is the competition important?
COVID-19 has had a detrimental effect on many grassroots sports teams up and down the country. Having had to close their doors in line with the latest national restrictions imposed by the government, it is estimated that 1 in 4 community clubs may not be able to reopen after the lockdown, owing to financial concerns. Over half of the clubs considered to be most at risk are in the most deprived areas of the UK, meaning millions of young people who have few other opportunities may be impacted.
For this reason, Made By Sport have set up Clubs In Crisis, alongside their #saveoursports petition to try and save local clubs from collapse. Clubs are being encouraged to sign the petition, donate if they can, and if they meet the criteria to enter the competition to be in with a chance to win £5000 to benefit their club.
How can I enter?
If your club meets the criteria which can be found on this page you'll be asked to create a video between 1-2 minutes long, and fill in a form. To be eligible, your club will need to show evidence that it tackles one of Made By Sport's key criteria issues, such as developing life skills, improving mental health, or reducing anti-social behaviour.
The competition is open now and closes on 10 December 2020. Any entries submitted after this date will not be considered, so be sure to complete your application before this point.
