This spring employees in Norfolk are being urged to make their employers aware of the free workplace activity competition available to them with prizes available for both workplaces and individuals who become more active.
As part of the Spring into Action challenge, employees can improve their health and wellbeing by walking, running, or cycling in these areas throughout the month of May, and be in with a chance to win prizes when they log their activity through the free Betterpoints app.
Latest research shows that 27% of Norfolk adults do less than 30 minutes of physical activity a week, which impacts on mental health, anxiety and stress levels.
By signing up to this free challenge, workplaces can motivate employees to be more active and help combat this worrying trend, and see the benefit of improved employee productivity and boosted morale.
There are nearly £300 of prizes to be won every week for employees that are logging their activities, £100 prize money for businesses to donate to their chosen charity, and one overall winner who logs the most activities can win £100 for themselves and £100 for their chosen charity.
Promotional materials will be supplied to eligible workplaces to help them get employees signed up to the challenge which kicks off on 1st May. Businesses are encouraged to sign up by 9th April.
