A new free education course has been announced by Active Norfolk which will aim to help coaches integrate themselves within the framework of schools more easily and deliver high quality training sessions to school staff. Where coaches want to work with schools more closely, attending this session will help them understand how they can help schools more directly. The course takes place on the evening of Thursday 29th November between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
The course, entitled: 'Coach Education – What schools need from your offer', is the first of its kind and will enable coaches to better equip themselves for working within schools and adapting their business models to meet the needs of different schools and their pupils.
Children and Young People Project Officer, Jo Thompson, said: "Coaches are a really important resource available to schools. This course will help coaches effectively design how they approach schools and what they can offer them. Schools can then make the most of what the coach has to offer and use them more effectively. Ultimately enabling more pupils to benefit from the shared expertise, meaning more opportunity for increased, high quality, physical activity provision".
The session runs for two hours and will be mix of theory and practical learning. Click here to find out more and book your place.
