About Youth Worker
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved in the development of new community-based youth provision in South Northants.
We are looking for a dynamic youth worker who will work directly with young people and deliver a range of inclusive activities and projects in different
settings. You will be well supported by the youth charity's coordinator and our local partnership groups.
The ideal person will have a strong commitment to young people and be confident working in open access youth clubs, schools, and faith-based groups. You will be engaging young people aged 8-18, supporting the group leaders and working with volunteers. You will also be actively involved in starting up new youth clubs and projects. You will have experience of working with young people in different settings, running a variety of youth work activities, and supporting young people's personal and social development. You will be a good communicator, skillful in building positive relationships with young people and encouraging their participation. One example is working with them to establish a local youth voice.
You will plan your working time with flexibility to suit the youth provision that runs most evenings. We offer an attractive salary with extras, including, flexible working, free training, and travel expenses. (There is potential to increase hours through additional funding)
