Physical Activity Development Officer

We are currently seeking someone with experience of working in sport, physical activity and wellbeing to join our Healthy Communities Team to: • Plan, develop and implement sports, physical activity and wellbeing programmes for children and adults • Line manage, advise and support Youth Activators, casual coaches, instructors, leaders and volunteers • Identify, establish and work with a range of partners, local communities and the voluntary sector • Assist in maximising funding for sports, physical activity and wellbeing • Raise the profile, awareness and provision of local, accessible and enjoyable sports and physical activity opportunities

About Physical Activity Development Officer

You will have experience in both the planning and delivery of physical activity and wellbeing intervention programmes for children and adults. You must be able to support and advise coaches, instructors, leaders and volunteers.
You will have experience of working proactively with key partners to raise the profile, awareness and provision of local, accessible and enjoyable physical activity and wellbeing opportunities for all. The successful candidate must have a natural ability to communicate to people at all levels, a strong customer focus, and be highly able to answer customer enquiries.
You will be someone who goes that extra mile as well as being able to look for ways to help improve what we already do and be able to work positively with colleagues across the Healthy Communities Team.
