About Health Improvement Officer

Grade 5, GBP 22,462 up to GBP 26,317 per annum pro rata - 25 hours per week, one year fixed term contract

Hinckley and Bosworth strives to improve the health and wellbeing of people and staff in the borough by working with key partners and practitioners to reduce heath inequalities, raise awareness of healthy lifestyles and implement health improvement initiatives.

This post will influence the priorities of the borough's dynamic Health and Wellbeing Partnership developing, delivering and monitoring sustainable health initiatives in areas such as mental health, smoking, levels of physical activity and supporting employees. You will have the opportunity to address these areas and other local health inequalities with an imaginative approach.

To achieve this, the post holder will need to be a real team player and have excellent skills and experience of partnership working with a wide range of key partners both internally within the council and externally with our health partners and community.

The successful applicant will require to have had experience of planning, co­ordinating, supporting and delivering public health programmes and initiatives.
