About Sports Volunteering Officer
Are you interested in working for the Sports University of the Year? UoN sport are seeking a dynamic and organised individual to fill the post of Sports Volunteering Officer. Are you capable of coordinating the BUCS workforce programme of the year as a member of the sports participation team at the University of Nottingham. The post holder will be expected to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the Leadership Academy, a sector leading programme which provides student leadership, coaching and officiating opportunities through sport. They will be responsible for recruiting, training and deploying student volunteers across a range of programmes both internal and external. They will also line manage an outreach project officer and oversee the Laureus Sport for Good programme.
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple projects and have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. They will have excellent organisational and strong communication skills. They will have experience of working with volunteers, specifically with either Higher education students or young people. They will have a passion for sport and an understanding of sport for non-competitive reasons.
This is a permanent full-time post, however job share arrangements may be considered.
