About Community Sports Coach

Specific responsibilities

Planning

  • Ensure all session planning is to the required standards
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of programme specific schemes of work and technical programmes
  • To liaise with the main programme contacts including teachers and head coaches to ensure all expectations are met
  • Plan and evaluate curriculum and / or extra curricular lesson plans

Delivery

  • Ensure all delivery is in line with the Foundation's delivery philosophy and coaching fundamentals
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive and varied sessions to participants with a range of abilities
  • Adapt coaching delivery style to the appropriate group and programmes
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders including parents, teachers and leisure providers
  • Assist with the delivery of key events including Premier League Primary Stars, schools tournaments, CSF Summer Cup and engagement initiatives

Reporting

  • Complete detailed and relevant player reports and assessments where necessary
  • Signpost players with appropriate potential to the various football development programmes

CSF responsibilities

  • To maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures including health and safety, safeguarding and data protection in line with minimum requirements to work for the Foundation
  • To report to the Line Manager and attend CSF staff meetings as and when required
  • To support CSF in other areas, activities and departments as and when required
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the charity CEO / Line Manager
