About Community Activator
Salary: From 1 April Grade 4: £18,795 - £19,171 per annum, pro rata
Grade 5: £19,554 - £20,344 when delivering activity sessions
22.2 hours per week
Working in the Ashbourne area
2 Year Fixed Term Contract starting April 2019
This role will involve working closely with community groups, local partners and organisations and members of the public who are ready to improve their health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will understand the barriers to physical activity and be able to motivate people to engage them in physical activity. They will deliver health & wellbeing activity sessions and work with other organisations to develop new sessions in the community.
This position is based in the Sports Development section of the Community Development department in the District Council Offices, Matlock but the majority of work will take place in Ashbourne.
