Fun and Fit is Suspended Until Further Notice

As of January 2019, Fun and Fit Norfolk is currently suspended whilst we review the delivery model and funding opportunities to be able to offer the programme free of charge to the people of Norfolk.

In the past we've been fortunate to have funding for this programme from both Sport England and Public Health, Norfolk County Council. The Sport England grant ceased in 2016, and the funding agreement with Public Health is coming to a close.

We and Public Health are continuing to work closely together on joint approaches to a healthy lifestyle in Norfolk, which includes identifying options to help inactive adults into physical activity.

This page will be updated as and when Fun and Fit activities become available. In the meantime, please Click here to complete an expression of interest form

I joined Active Norfolk in April 2013 after graduating from Brunel University in Sports Science. I joined the health team and am responsible for tackling physical inactivity in adults. I previously managed the Fun & Fit project which was successful in engaging and supporting the physically inactive to become healthier.

My current work at Active Norfolk also sees me lead on the mental health agenda which requires me to work with local partners to improve mental health and suicide reduction through projects such as All To Play For. I also oversee the work with two long term health conditions in Chronic Pain/Arthritis and Diabetes by providing opportunities for people affected to become or remain physically active.

In addition to the inactivity work, I provide locality support in Breckland working with district officers and key stakeholders to improve and increase sport and physical activity opportunities across the area.

Outside of work I play for Norwich United FC and any spare time I have left you can find me in the gym!
