A discussion around the importance of being active for men's mental health

We all have mental health and we need to look after it as, just as we would our physical health. Yet every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 45, we all know someone who needs support.

Hear from the Sport and Physical Activity Team at Mind as they share their findings from the recent ' Get it off your chest' research and then join our panel of speakers to hear about why it is so important that men are active not only to benefit their physical health but also their mental health.

Guest Speakers:

Nyall Simms - BAME Sports Consultant

Beth & Tom – Project 14 - A local charity that aims to get people together to raise awareness & funds for mental health services that can help people across Barnsley & The Dearne Valley.

Jimmy Gittins – State of Mind Ambassador and Ex Rugby League player

When you register for the session please let us know any questions that you would like to ask the panel.
