Aaron Roberts

Sports Development Officer

I joined Active Norfolk in 2011 working on a temporary basis, lending a hand on various projects. I moved into the Rural Sports Development Officer role working on the Village Games in the same year, before being appointed into my current Sports Development officer role in January 2015.

My current role is made up of two strands: as Lead Coaching Officer I work closely with key partners such as National Governing Bodies, Local Authorities, School Games Organisers, Coaching Providers, Clubs and Coaches to establish local structures to support the delivery of effective coach development. My National Governing Bodies liaison role sees me working closely with the Sports Development Manager to support National Governing Bodies in the delivery of their Whole Sport Plans in Norfolk.

Outside of work most of my spare time is taken up lending my hand to many sports, especially football and cricket.
