Enjoying the Norfolk Countryside this May during National Walking month

May is National Walking month, which is great as it promotes walking and encourages people to get out of the house and walk. We are now coming to the best time of the year when all the buds are coming into bloom and flowers are springing through the soil after the long winter. Walking is free and gets you outside in the splendid Norfolk countryside. You can walk with anyone, talk as you go and you don't need any special equipment which is one of the things I love most about it. You can walk from your house or explore the varied aspects of Norfolk's landscape from rolling countryside to our dramatic coastline.
Attending organised walks is another way to get out and explore the area as many of the organised groups around the county offer guided walks. We have numerous health walk groups and Rambler groups around Norfolk so make the most of this and get out and meet new people. Most of the walks going on around the county can be found through www.activenorfolk.org/walking, where you can find walks ranging from ones that are accessible to all up to longer walks for the more experienced.
