Ben Jones

Ben Jones

Director

With a background in community sports development and Further Education, I joined Active Norfolk in the summer of 2006 as Sports Development Officer. Now as Director and one of the longest serving team members at Active Norfolk, I have the privilege of leading a team of exceptional and committed professionals.

Norfolk born and bred, I have lived at various points in my life in four of the seven Local Authority areas, so I have a good understanding of what makes Norfolk so special, and the significant role that sport and physical activity plays in that. I believe sincerely that improving levels of participation in sport and physical activity contributes positively to community cohesion, educational attainment, physical and mental health and well-being as well as adding real value to the local economy.

Outside of work I have a young family and am a fan of most sports. Having hung up my rugby boots I now spend quite a bit of time riding a road bike and have entered my first triathlon this year.
