Norfolk Community Foundation is part of a worldwide charitable network. We aim to build a stronger community in Norfolk by making it easier to give to address the real needs that exist in our communities. We exist to make Norfolk a better place for everyone. Sport Relief Community Cash
Community groups in Norwich have the chance to apply for a share of a new £50,000 fund as part of Sport Relief 2012.
Dozens of groups have the chance to benefit from a slice of £50,000 as the Norfolk Community Foundation joins forces with the Norwich Evening News and Sport Relief to distribute grants to groups making a difference to their local communities.
Grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available to community groups and clubs in the Norwich area.
Who can apply:
Constituted voluntary and community groups, registered charities and social enterprises benefitting the Norwich area can apply.
Applicants must:
- Be based in Norwich
- Have a constitution
- Have a management committee of least 3 people
- Have a bank account requiring min. 2 unrelated cheque signatories to authorise payments
- Have relevant policies and safeguarding including equal opportunities, CRB checks, and child protection/ vulnerable persons policies
- Have an annual income of less than £100,000
- Be run by local people, to benefit local communities
Established groups, and groups that have been established for less than 12 months are eligible to apply.
Local offices of national charities will only be supported if they have their own management committee, governing documents and bank account.
Groups who received a grant from Red Nose Day Community Cash in 2011 are eligible to apply providing they have completed monitoring requirements to date satisfactorily.
