Norfolk County Council
Active Norfolk works in close association with Norfolk County Council, and we share the belief that all children and young people have the right to be healthy, happy and safe; to be loved, valued and respected; and to have high aspirations for their future.
This vision drives the work of Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Development here in Norfolk. Every child matters and every child has the right to enjoy and participate in high quality physical education and school sport, regardless of their age, ability, gender and background.
Norfolk County Council is committed to ensuring that every child spends 2 hours a week on high quality physical education and school sport, within and beyond the curriculum. Our School Sport Partnerships are a vital tool in this task and initial data from this years PESSCL Data Collection indicates that we have exceeded the PSA Target for 2006. This is great news but there is always room for improvement.
