Swimming - Norfolk Advanced Coaching Offer

This year, Active Norfolk, in partnership with the ASA East Region and with support from the county ASA, is delivering a 2 year programme to develop coaches within Norfolk.

The Advanced Coaching Offer (ACO) aims to provide targeted support for coaches living in Norfolk who have ambitions to undertake coaching as a professional opportunity, offering a structured process of mentoring, support and development through advanced experience in a number of appropriate environments.

How do coaches benefit from this project?

The benefits that successful applicants to this project will receive include targeted support from the allocated Mentor and ASA Talent Development Officer, access to England Talent Programmes, support/training in the area (s) identified for development and the opportunity to shape your future in aquatic coaching by observing/delivering coaching in an appropriate environment.

Five coaches are currently enrolled to the project; Jamie Rush & Liam Harvey (Diss Otters Swimming Club) and Louise Bush, Ben Johnson & Sarah Bird (City of Norwich Swimming Club).  The coaches are currently being mentored by Alex Pinniger, Head Coach of City of Norwich Swimming Club, and accessing a number of development opportunities.  All of the ACO coaches will also be attending the Eastern Region Talent Camps taking place in November / December 2012.
