North Norfolk Community Sports Network

North Norfolk Community Sports Network is one of the second wave of Community Sports Networks (CSNs) to be established in Norfolk.  Excellent progress has been made with the close involvement of the Local Strategic Partnership, Local Area Partnerships, clubs and community groups.  The approach being undertaken is to break the CSN into three Local Sports Networks - East, Central and West.  This will allow for a better engagement with local people and organisations. Sport England start-up funding has been received and initial work with the North East Norfolk Local Sports Network is under way in the form of a club and facilities audit.  

The CSN structure was taken to the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) on the 2nd of November and they have agreed to incorporate the CSN into the LSP.  To explain how the CSN  and the Local Sports Networks would work, a briefing paper was produced.  Use the link to the left to view this document.

The next step is to identify organisations across the district who have a role to play in meeting the agreed targets of the LSP and the target to increase the number of people that are participating in 30 minutes of moderate exercise 3 time a week.  While these organisations are being approached, the local sports networks will be looking at identifyng their local clubs and organisations who want to be involved.
