Tour de Norfolk returns for second year

After a successful first year, the Tour is back with four different length routes for cyclists to try out, which are all sign posted for ease of access. The aim of the event is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for cyclists of all ages and abilities to take part.
The second annual Tour de Norfolk sportive takes place on Sunday 17th September at the Norfolk Showground.
This year's event boasts
•20, 40, 70 and 100 mile routes
•1km traffic free family ride inside the Showground
•Support vehicles en route
•Feed stations along the route with energy drinks and snacks
•Learn to Ride programmes
•On site catering and bar
•Pushing Ahead centre with information on Cycle Loan Scheme, Personal Travel Planning, and more
Rider Start Times
•Stage 100 – 6.30am – 8.30am
•Stage 70 – 7.00am – 8.30am
•Stage 40 – 8.30am – 9.30am
•Stage 20 – 8.30am – 9.30am
Last year the Tour de Norfolk teamed up with the Big C cancer charity, and this year they're keen to break the £20,000 fundraising total they hit in 2016.
The event will be sponsored by Desira Group PLC which will also be providing support vehicles for the cyclists.
Music and catering will be available all day at the Norfolk Showground with food and drink stations posted along the route.
For those not cycling, various attractions, music and catering will be available all day at the showground – among them a large marquee hosting the Norfolk Cycle Show.
