Volunteer Vacancies: Volleyball England Beach Tour
19 April 2012Volleyball England is currently recruiting volunteers for the Volleyball England Beach Tour (VEBT) events this summer, including one in Great Yarmouth in May.
The VEBT features the top male and female beach volleyball players from this country and some from overseas. There are events in four locations in England including Great Yarmouth from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th May.
They are looking for a number of volunteers to help out at each of the VEBT events. Volunteers will be needed for a variety of jobs including:
- event set-up
- courtside assistants
- information desk assistants
- event administrators and more
They are also looking for volunteers to manage the Go Spike court – this is for passers by to try volleyball. NO BEACH VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED! A willingness to get involved is more important than specific skills. Even if volunteers can just commit to helping for a few hours at one event that would still be much appreciated.
Interested volunteers need to complete the attached application form and either email or post it back to:
- Ilona Berry, National Volunteer Development Officer
- T: 01509 227722 F: 01509 227733
- E: i.berry@volleyballengland.org
- www.volleyballengland.org
The application form is not a formal assessment procedure but rather to ensure you are allocated to a role which makes best use of all their skills. More senior roles will be allocated three weeks before the event. For other roles the application deadline is two weeks before the event. Unfortunately they are unable to provide accommodation, but for some roles they are able to offer up to £25 per day travel expenses.
