Sports Development Manager
I joined Active Norfolk in 2007 as Workforce Development Officer and moved into the Coaching Development Manager role in 2009, before being appointed as Sports Development Manager in February 2014.
My role is centred around supporting National Governing Bodies in the delivery of their Whole Sport Plans in Norfolk, and I also head up Active Norfolk's Sports Development Team. In addition to these responsibilities I am the lead Safeguarding Officer at Active Norfolk, and I also tutor Safeguarding & Protecting Children courses on behalf of Sports Coach UK.
Outside of work I coach cycling and am a UKCC Level 2 coach, and prior to retiring from sport through injury I was an England international in my chosen sport of Cycle Speedway. For my sins I also follow closely the fortunes of the mighty Barnsley Football Club.
